Senior Contracts Manager
Job description:
The Role:
Plan, organize and conduct all facets of several complex major contracts and proposals.
Provide expert guidance to Program Managers and others in all areas of Contracts Management functions, trends in Government Procurement, and the requirements of International Business.
What you’ll be doing:
Participate in and lead negotiations of complex contracts, International contracts as well as less complex contractual arrangements as assigned
Analyze, during the proposal and negotiation phases, in conjunction with Program and Financial Management personnel, Contractual terms which could be utilized to fit the customers requirements
Maintain expertise in FAR and DFARS regulations and pricing philosophies and International regulations such as the International Traffic in Arms regulations, and the ICC rules. Assist the Program Manager in interpreting the contract
Maintain close contact with responsible contract and procurement customer personnel for assigned programs
Represent company to appropriate customer contract and/or procurement organizations and represent the customer to internal company personnel insofar as monitoring company contractual obligations are concerned
As required, perform Contracts Management staff activities in the areas of procedures, training, policy generation and business systems coordination
Develop and maintain working knowledge of Letters of Credit and other International bank guarantees, and offset requirements.
Keep abreast of Government budgets, customer planning, and other developments which may influence the current contract, follow-on business, or related emerging business opportunities in conjunction with
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Contracts Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience Requirement:
Ten years experience or the equivalent experience in Contracts Management covering a variety of different contracts in several product areas with several customers.
