Immediate job opening for a Quality Assurance Manager for a multi-billion dollar 100+ year old global diversified manufacturer of specialty products. In this role youll hold chief quality assurance responsibility across the site. Job is in the greater Fulton, IL area.

Select Responsibilities
Chief responsibility for ensuring the overall quality of parts produced and maintaining quality throughout the facility, from order inception to shipping.
Lead and implement rigorous problem-solving initiatives and action plans to enhance overall
Report to the Engineering Manager and serve as a people and project leader, overseeing multiple direct reports.quality.
Conduct analysis of historical and current data to drive continuous improvement efforts.
Direct, supervise, and develop a team of quality control/assurance associates.
Report quality performance and costs to management and corporate levels.

Additional Responsibilities
Lead the development of a cost-effective inspection system to ensure product quality.
Stay updated on the latest gauging, inspection, and statistical technology.
Manage all third-party and customer quality audits and surveys.
Implement and coordinate corrective actions based on findings from completed audits and surveys.
Act as the management representative for quality systems.
Engage with customers and suppliers as necessary to support quality programs, address issues, and ensure awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
Drive suppliers to improve overall quality and meet on-time delivery targets.
Collect and analyze data related to internal rejections, receiving inspection results, and customer certification issues, reporting results during management review meetings to initiate improvement efforts.
Initiate and lead defect prevention and corrective action programs using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 5-why, 8D, and various statistical tools.
Develop training programs to ensure understanding and adherence to quality requirements and procedures, and support the development of quality personnel and manufacturing leaders.
Deploy and maintain Total Quality Management Systems (TQMS) and Global Quality Tracking Systems (GQTS).
Lead advanced product quality planning activities and customer Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) compliance.

Qualifications:

Desired Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required (Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Industrial or related)
Minimum 5 years Quality experience
Understanding of manufacturing process with excellent systemic thinking abilities, strong root cause analysis, General Manufacturing Experience
Corporate exposure a plus
Lean / Continuous experience desired
Quality Auditing desired
Experience in Production Part Approval Process management, Supplier Management, Inspection & Gauging Techniques
Non- Destructive Testing(NDT)/Heat Treatment/Welding
Statistical Analysis
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programming
