Our client is looking for a Payroll Supervisor on a hybrid basis (as little as 1 day on site per week).
The Supervisor will lead a dedicated team of payroll processors, ensuring compliance with government regulations, labor contracts, and company policies. Your responsibilities will span from managing workflow and reviewing weekly payroll to providing leadership and training to your team.
- Efficiently manage workflow and conduct weekly reviews of payroll, encompassing payments, deductions, and taxes, ensuring accuracy within tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Finance, Legal, HR, Leadership, and Field Operations, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with FLSA, State, Local, and employment practices for our multi-state company.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the entire payroll cycle, from timecards to GL, and the implications of changes to benefit plans, deductions, and garnishments for employees and the company.
- Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting and adhering to multiple union contract terms and conditions.
- Provide leadership and training to the payroll team, driving performance goals at both employee and company levels.
- 5+ years of experience processing multi-state, union payroll for a workforce exceeding 3,000 employees
- Technical skillset includes proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI (a plus), and JD Edwards (a plus)
