This company develops systems for the ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) project, an international nuclear fusion engineering project and the greatest scientific project in the world. Their main field of activity is examination and testing of vital nuclear power plant components using systems that they have developed entirely in-house. These include instruments, probes, robotics and software.

Base location can either be in the beautifully cosmopolitan city of Zagreb in Croatia or in the tax haven of Abu Dhabi.

Job responsibilities

  • Development of the annual sales plans and implementing strategic business plans to reach sales targets
  • Identification of new business opportunities
  • Developing and promoting weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives
  • Assessing costs, competition, and supply and demand to identify selling prices
  • Maintaining and cultivating good and lasting business relationships with clients to grow customer loyalty
  • Estimating needs of existing and new clients and working with them to better understand their business needs and goals
  • Leading and motivating staff to improve customer service to clients
  • Expansion of company’s network
  • Contracting operations related to sales department
  • Constant track of developments in industry and tracking of innovations
  • Conducting market analysis
  • Drafting detailed and accurate sales reports

Job Requirements

  • University degree in an engineering or technical field; MBA is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver sales results and secure results
  • Demonstrated experience with commercial contracting
  • Ability to plan, navigate and negotiate a complex sales process
  • Experienced in coordinating diverse sales teams
  • Ability to manage a team based in remote locations (Zagreb office 3 sales team members + 2 marketing team members; Abu Dhabi office – 2 sales team members)
  • Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic thinking and systemic vision skills
  • Willingness to travel (30%); periodical visits to HQ in Zagreb, Croatia (if based in UAE).

Qualifications:

  • Sales development expertise in the non-destructive testing (NDT) industry
  • Essential: good combination of engineering, sales and people management experience; able to independently run the whole sales process; excellent negotiator; and proactive problem solver.
  • More than 10 years of solid experience in similar role, preferably as Sales Director with P&L responsibility with strong external, customer focus and executive level engagement in an international environment
  • Fluent in speaking and writing English, additional languages are a plus.
