CNC Setup Class A (Advanced)

Summary

The CNC Setup Class A (Advanced) performs duties to set up and instruct assigned department employees in the setup and operation of a wide variety of computer numerically controlled work centers to progressively machine a wide variety of piece parts. This position works from complex blueprints, shop orders, tool sheets, sketches, computer printouts, and instructions to perform the following duties.

Job Duties
Troubleshoot quality issues with machined parts
Make modifications to the machine program
Train operators and set personnel
Direct departmental employees on work elements
Maintain accurate tooling inventory
Set tooling and fixtures according to print or layouts
Setup work center calling up programs and modifying as needed
Perform autonomous maintenance tasks
Assist operator in loading and operating machine
Prepare production records as required

Qualifications:

• Complete 6S training
• Complete safety auditor training
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Ability to perform shop math
• Ability to read blueprints
• 4+ years experience
• Ability to read and understand G code
