Accounting Admin/Real Estate Bookkeeper

Location: Atlanta, GA 30305

Pay: $60-75k

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift: 100% Onsite, M-F 8:30 AM to 5 PM

The Client is a private hard money lender offering loans for the purchase or renovation of non-owneroccupied residential or commercial properties throughout the Southeast. We currently service Georgia,Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Texas

Primary Duties include, but are not limited to:

Accounting Admin/Bookkeeping

-Maintain the books for the lending companies and provide reports for parent company personnel

– Monthly bank reconciliation (multiple accounts)

– Prepare, 1099 and 1098 interest statements

– Bank deposits (desktop system)

– Accounts payable/receivable

– Communicate with colleagues on rent collection/defaults for foreclosed properties

– Maintain rent roll

– General office duties

– Work with outside CPA during tax season on company returns

– Maintain files (both physical and electronic)

Real Estate Loan Processor / REO coordination

– Pull credit reports

– Set up new client/loan files

– Communicate with clients on items needed for the loan(s)

– Work with appraisers

– Work with attorneys and title personnel

– Coordinate closing(s) and funding

– Record the loan in QuickBooks

– Receive and post loan/interest payments

– Pull property tax/utility records

– Help Prepare construction draws for approval/disburse funds

– Coordinate with the construction inspector to draw approval

– Help coordinate foreclosures with foreclosing attorneys

– Assist in formulating tax escrow estimates for new loans

– Help coordinate and track tax appeals for foreclosed properties



– 2+ years of extensive experience in Bookkeeping and QuickBooks (will consider someone who just got certified in QuickBooks)

– Must be a local (within 20-30 mins away from the job location including traffic)

– Experience in bank reconciliation with multiple clients

– Basic knowledge of loan processing and closing procedures (we will train on this process)

– High math aptitude

– Familiarity with typical office machines (phone, fax, copier, scanner)

– Accounting background

– Familiarity with real estate

– Excel (Microsoft Office Suite)

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills

– Ability to work with stringent timelines.
