HR Manager

Expand your professional portfolio as an HR Manager with MAU’s client in Peosta, IA. As an HR Manager, you will forecast, plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the strategy, policies, activities, and staff of the HR department. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Undergraduate degree in an appliable field of study
  • Advanced degree (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience as a senior HR professional within the manufacturing industry
  • Ability to design and lead strategic HR/SP activities
  • Capacity to influence and persuade
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify future human capital challenges and conduct activities for early intervention
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Results-oriented and flexible with change
  • Team collaborator
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative with minimal supervision

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy
  • Sustain execution of short-term objectives and long-term strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with senior plant leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategies for staffing, recruiting, and retention
  • Identify, plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement programs, processes, and training, and lead activities to support the team’s human capital strategy
  • Own the processes of human capital programs, including total rewards, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, employee engagement, and training and development
  • Forecast and identify staffing and recruiting needs
  • Develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent development
  • Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends, including reviews of reports and metrics from the HRIS and talent management systems
  • Monitor and ensure site compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices
  • Review and modify practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment lay
  • Apply knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to plant leadership
  • Foster a lifelong learning mindset
  • Facilitate professional development programs, training, and events for the plant leadership team
  • Perform other duties as assigned
