Glass Glazing Estimator

If you have at least 3 years of experience as an Estimator in the glass glazing industry and experience with Curtain Wall, Storefront and Windows, please read further.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
o Build and maintain high trust relationships with highly rated customers, architects, suppliers and make sure they receive extraordinary treatment and respect at all times
o Understand bid requests
o Navigate Customer websites to locate plans and specifications
o Determine Union requirements, insurance, bonding needs, warranties, safety requirements etc.
o Prepare appropriate RFI’s concerning all scope and related issues
o Determine project funding, other competitors and suitability.
o Visit job site, determine logistics for installation, attend pre-construction meetings
o Perform material take offs; discuss difficulty of installation with superintendent
o Solicit quotations from vendors and subcontractors; include all project particulars in the quote, e.g., extended warranties; review quotes for accuracy
o Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers and with customers
o Get estimate for shop drawings from CAD manager
o Determine project schedule; determine durations for our scope
o Prepare bid proposal and present bids to clients as needed
o Make follow up phone calls/visits
